Tits to Bulbuls

Long-tailed Tit Aegithalos caudatus - The race that occurs in Turkey, alpinus, is quite distinctive, although the black bib they're supposed to show wasn't well-marked; 4 were seen well at Demircili, and others were seen or heard at at least one other location.

Blue Tit Cyanistes caeruleus (Parus caeruleus) - Small numbers at a few locations.

Great Tit Parus major - Probably the commonest and most widespread tit, though it didn't seem as common as they are at home.

Coal Tit Periparus ater (Parus ater) - Seen or heard between Dermicili and Uzuncaburç and at Akseki.

Sombre Tit Poecile lugubris (Parus lugubris) - 2-3 seen on both visits to Durnalık and singles near Nemrut Dağı and at Akseki.

Red-backed Shrike, Pınarbaşı, 17th May - the combination of a small white patch at the base of the primaries and grey extending well onto the back made me wonder if this might not be 100% Red-backed, but I think both are probably within range for pure birds

Lesser Grey Shrike Lanius minor - A male at Göksu Delta and a total of 5 between Birecik and Sanliurfa.
