Surf Scoter Melanitta perspicillata

A rare visitor to the UK. The vast majority of British records are from Scotland but the species seems to be turning up more often in England, including in Norfolk where I was fortunate to find one of the birds shown below. The other photos were obtained in North America where this species is very common.
