Grey Phalarope (Red Phalarope) Phalaropus fulicarius

A scarce autumn migrant in Norfolk and elsewhere in the UK, with the majority of records being seen during sea-watches. A smaller number are recorded during the winter and early spring but birds are very rarely seen in this country when in red breeding plumage.
